Shirvan Baboolal held off strong challenges from Matthew Hagley and veteran Curtis Cox to capture the NGC/National Association of Athletics Administrations (NAAA) "King of the Savannah" title, at the Queen's Park Savannah in Port of Spain, yesterday.

GRITTING THEIR TEETH: Shirvan Baboolal looks over his left shoulder in the final stages of the NGC/National Association of Athletics Administrations (NAAA) "King of the Savannah" race, at the Queen's Park Savannah in Port of Spain, yesterday. Baboolal emerged as champion in the one-lap race, completing the 2.3-mile course in 11 minutes, 21 seconds.
