Thompson, Walcott for Atlantic camp

Star athlete sprinter Richard Thompson will again feature at the Atlantic Development Track and Field Clinic but not alone as he will be accompanied by javelin specialist Keshorn Walcott, sharing on their respective golden careers.

The Olympians will conduct the annual event which will unfold on Saturday at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port-of-Spain from 9 am. Participants are asked to arrive by 8.30 am.

The clinic is geared towards athletes from seven educational districts including Victoria, St Patrick, South Eastern, North Eastern, St George East, Caroni and Port-of-Spain, based on their performances at this year's National Track and Field Championship.

It will focus on different drills and techniques to help the youngsters in the sport of Track and Field and who better to guide them other than Thompson, a three-time Olympic medallist, and Walcott, who has Olympic gold and bronze medals.

Thompson, as he has done over the past years, along with Walcott, will give the promising 50 students tips on training and other valuable information that will assist them throughout their athletic careers.

Similar to previous editions, the duo will guide the talented group through a series of exercises and sessions in proper sprinting and the throwing techniques and share on their respective athletic lives and inspire them to fulfil their dreams of representing T&T in the future.
