Hagley, Shukla to defend Cross Country titles

MATTHEW HAGLEY and Samantha Shukla are expected to defend their titles at the National Cross Country Championships at the Queen's Park Savannah, tomorrow. The first race, a two-kilometre event for under-12s, will start at 2 p.m. while the main event, an 8K for men and women, is scheduled for 3.50.

Hagley is reigning champion among the men, while Shukla captured the women's title in 2016. In a press release earlier this week, the National Association of Athletics Administrations (NAAA) said that the Championships will also serve as an opportunity to help hurricane-ravaged Dominica.
