Bascombe, St Louis top Cougars Club
Trinidad Express :: 21.12.2017SHANIQUA BASCOMBE and Jaden St Louis were named the senior girls and boys Athletes of the Year, respectively, when the Cougars Track and Field Club held its annual awards and dinner on Tuesday at the VIP Room of the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Mucurapo.
Bascombe, now 14, was the fastest 13-year-old in the world in 2017 with her times of 11.70 and 23.50 seconds for the 100 and 200 metres events, respectively. She was a runaway winner in copping gold at the National Championships in June, then came back to win impressively at the Junior Championships and also claimed the 100 metres at the Secondary School
