Hislop grabs LSU sprint double - US wins too for Brooks, Gittens

Akanni Hislop captured the men's sprint double at the Louisiana State University (LSU) Twilight meet in Louisiana, USA, on Friday. The LSU sprinter won the 60 metres dash in a personal best 6.82 seconds and the 200m in 21.60.

Another Trinidad and Tobago/LSU athlete, Xavier Mulugata was fourth fastest in the men's 200m in 22.97 seconds. Mulugata also competed in the 60m, finishing sixth in the final with a 6.94 PR (personal record). And in the women's 60m final, LSU's Zakiya Denoon clocked 7.47 to claim seventh spot.

Alena Brooks was in winners' row at the Arkansas Qualifier, the T&T runner striking gold in the women's 800m in two minutes, 07.04 seconds.
