No more lip serviceTrinidad Express :: 20.02.2018Reading Richard Thompson's response to Ministry of Sport official Shabir Mohammed's response to his submissions for Elite Athlete Assistance, a voice in my head was saying: "Another day in the life." Personal experiences came flooding back, of trying to obtain basic services in this place; of just trying to get information to do what the law required. One was made to feel like you were begging a favour, that you were bothering people who had better things to do; as if you didn't have a number of other things that demanded your own time and attention but had just decided to come and be a nuisance. These days when they do surveys for everything—the fattest country, the happiest country etc.—they should do one about the countries with the worst customer service.
