Andwuelle does it rightTobago jumper joins 8-metre clubKwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 22.03.2018 ANDWUELLE WRIGHT produced the first legal eight-metre jump of his career to headline the National Association of Athletics Administrations (NAAA) Sunset Meet at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain on Wednesday. Wright disturbed the sand at 8.03 metres to strike gold in the men's long jump, becoming only the third Trinidad and Tobago athlete to join the eight-metre club. Wright's coach Wendell Williams is the president of the club with his 8.14m national record leap. The late LeJuan Simon jumped 8.01m in 2004. Cleavon Dillon produced an 8.09m leap in 2000 but was denied membership in the club by an illegal 2.9 metres per second following wind.
