Brooks, McKnight bag Grenada silver

Alena Brooks followed up on her national record run at the Commonwealth Games with a runner-up finish at the 2018 Grenada Invitational at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium in St George's, Grenada, late on Saturday.

Brooks produced a solid run to seize silver in the women's 800 metres, the Trinidad and Tobago halfmiler getting to the line in two minutes, 03.18 seconds—the fifth fastest time of her career. American Carly Muscaro clocked 2:02.84 to claim gold, while bronze went to Barbadian Sade Sealy in 2:04.27.
