The Trinidad and Tobago athlete disturbed the sand at 13.20 metres. In North Carolina, Aaron Lewis clocked 14.14 seconds to triumph in the Duke Invitational men's 110 metres hurdles. His Coppin State University teammate, Mark London was 10th in the men's 800m "B" race in one minute, 53.10 seconds. At the Trojan Invite, in Virginia, Marissa Gale grabbed women's 400m gold in 56.62 seconds. In the 200m, Gale clocked the third fastest time, 24.65. At the Louisiana State University (LSU) Alumni Gold meet, in Louisiana, Louisiana Tech University student Elia Nero won the women's 800 metres "B" Section in 2:11.47. LSU's Zakiya Denoon finished first in her section and fourth overall in the women's 200m in a wind-assisted 23.25 seconds. Meridian Community College quarter-miler Jacob St Clair was fourth fastest in the men's 400m with a 47.25 run. And LSU's Akanni Hislop clocked 10.42 for fifth spot overall in the men's 100m dash.
