Ashby, Andrews, John grab gold at Combined ChampsKwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 22.05.2018 Kerlon Ashby, Joel Andrews and Safiya John were all in winners' row at the NGC/NAAA (National Association of Athletics Administrations) Combined Events Championships, at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, on the weekend. Ashby accumulated 5,622 points to emerge victorious in the men's decathlon, the Kaizen Panthers athlete enjoying a comfortable cushion on second-placed Omari Benoit (5,327). Andrews was dominant in the boys' under-20 decathlon. The D'Abadie Progressive athlete completed the 10-discipline event with 5,959 points. Anson Moses totalled 5,567 to pick up silver.
