Lendore tops Hampton 200mKwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 27.05.2018 Deon Lendore was crowned Hampton International Games men's 200 metres champion at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, yesterday. The US-based Trinidad and Tobago track star finished first in section six in 21.13 seconds to emerge fastest overall in the timed finals. Lendore separated himself from his rivals on the straight, before shutting down at the end for a comfortable cushion on his Abilene Wildcats teammate Jerod Elcock. Though second in the section in 21.52, Elcock had to settle for fourth spot overall, behind Lendore, Theon Lewis, who topped section two in 21.47, and section five winner Nicholas Douglas (21.49).
