Hazel clocks PR in NCAA Division 2 final

Trinidad and Tobago quartermiler Odou Hazel produced a new personal record (PR) in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championship men's 400 metres final, in North Carolina, USA, on Saturday.

Drawn in the difficult lane one, Hazel got around the track in 46.70 seconds to finish seventh. In Thursday's qualifying round, the Claflin University student finished third in heat two in 47.18 seconds to progress to the championship race on time.
