Jereem snatches Ostrava silver
Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: 13.06.2018Jereem "The Dream" Richards snatched silver in the men's 200 metres event at the Ostrava Golden Spike IAAF World Challenge meet in the Czech Republic, yesterday. The Point Fortin sprinter got home in 20.09 seconds, the same time clocked by Turkey's Ramil Guliyev, the reigning world champion finishing just behind Richards to bag bronze. Canadian Aaron Brown topped the field in 20.05.
Richards has been in fine form this season, capturing the Commonwealth Games half-lap title in Gold Coast, Australia, and securing podium finishes at three IAAF Diamond League meets.
