Lendore cruises into 400 final - Bledman set for NGC/Sagicor Champs 100 gold

Deon Lendore underlined his status as the favourite for the NGC/Sagicor NAAA National Open Track and Field Championship men's 400 metres title with the easiest of wins in yesterday's qualifying round at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain.

Unchallenged in the fifth and final heat, Lendore shut down halfway down the home straight, the Abilene Wildcats quartermiler virtually walking across the line in 46.14 seconds to progress as the fastest qualifier.
