Wounded Walcott grabs CAC gold

And what a boost it was! Keshorn Walcott dug deep at the Rafael Cotes Stadium here in Barranquilla, Colombia, yesterday, to pull off a dramatic victory in the Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games men's javelin event.
Walcott took an early lead in the competition, the Trinidad and Tobago thrower landing the spear 81.78 metres. But in the second round, he slipped on his final stride, and crashed to the ground. Alarmed, the Toco thrower's coach, Cuban Ismael Lopez Mastrapa rushed to his aid.
