Stapleton takes Cross Country crown
Kwame Laurence :: Trinidad Express :: Trinidad Express :: 26.11.2018Sherwyn Stapleton produced a strong run at the Queen's Park Savannah in Port of Spain, on Sunday, to snatch Shirvan Baboolal's National Association of Athletics Administrations of Trinidad and Tobago (NAAATT) National Cross Country Championship men's title.
Halfway through the ten-kilometre race, Baboolal was among six runners in contention for top spot. But with one lap of the 2K circuit to go, the lead pack was down to four — Stapleton, Baboolal, Anthony Phillip and Guyana's Kelvin Johnson.
