T&T's Eric Harrison completed the sprint double at the Jesse Owens Track Classic in Columbus, Ohio in the United States on the weekend.

The senior won the men's 100 metres dash with a wind-assisted 10.11w (3.5) to lead an Ohio State University to sweep comfortably ahead of junior Praise Olatoke (10.29) and senior Kainnan Ramsey (10.32), respectively.

This after, Harrison advanced from the preliminary round with the fastest qualifying time of 10.26w (3.0).

Harrison also sprinted to victory in the men's 200m dash with a 20.72 (1.5) in the timed final to again lead an OSU sweep with schoolmate sophomore Armani Modeste (20.98) in second and Ramsey (21.10) in third.

The T&T sprinter and Olatoke made up part of the OSU quartet that did not finish the 4x100m relay.

Ohio State freshman Leah Bertrand picked up two medals at the Classic, placing second in the women's 100m with 11.21w (3.3) and helping the sprint relay team nab gold with 43.27. She also faced the starter in the 200m but finished fifth with a 24.13-timing.

Alisha St Louis also featured at the Ohio meet and bagged a bronze in the women's triple jump event. The Eastern Michigan senior placed third with a 12.35mw (2.2) effort.

In the Warhawk Classic, Adell Coltrust, a sophomore at Jackson State University, excelled winning the men's 100m with a wind-assisted 10.23w (5.0) and placed second in the 200m with 21.09w (2.9). He had similar success in the relays, winning the 4x400m (3:13.27) and placing second in the 4x100m (41.83) in the timed finals.

Shikyla Walcott, a senior at Florida Memorial, also had podium finishes in her respective events at the Sun Conference Outdoor Championship in Miramar, Florida.

Walcott copped silver in the four events she competed in 100m with 11.91, 200m with 24.53w (3.4) and in the relays, 4x100m (47.68) and 4x400m (3:56.94).

Arkansas-Pine Bluff was represented by three T&T athletes at the Arkansas State University (ASU) Red Wolf Open including juniors Safiya John and Franklyn Stanislaus as well as freshman Genesis Joseph.

John was golden at the ASU meet, emerging the winner in the women's 100m hurdles and high jump. She crossed first in the hurdle event with a wind-assisted 13.23W (4.6) and topped the high jump, clearing the bar at 1.75m.

She also competed in the 200m and her time of 25.36 (2.0) placed her fifth.

Quartermiler Stanislaus was a seventh-place finisher in the men's 400m with 49.98 while middle-distance runner Joseph lined up in two events. In the men's 800m, he placed 11th and 32nd in the 1,500m with 4:14.59.

At the Louisiana State University ( LSU) Alumni Gold, UCF sophomores Tamia Badal of the University of Central Florida (UCF) and Kion Benjamin of Minnesota were in action.

Badal just missed out on podium finishes in both events she competed in, placing fourth in the 100m hurdles in 13.62w (3.6) and fifth in the 400m hurdles with 1:01.52.

Meanwhile, Benjamin participated in three events. He was 10th in the 100m with 10.31w (2.7), 14th in the 200m with 21.17W (4.4) and he and his Minnesota team just missed out on a medal in the 4x100m relay placing fourth with 40.02.

Purdue junior Naomi Campbell competed at the Indiana Invitational and attempted to complete the sprint double but was sixth in the women's 100m with 11.85 and seventh in the 200m with 24.03w (3.6).

At the Aggie Classic, Ako Hislop, a senior at Fairleigh Dickinson, raced in two events. In the men's 100m, his time of 10.66 placed him 19th and in the 200m, he was 15th with 21.61.

Pittsburgh junior Clement Campbell competed at the Virginia Challenge but did not medal. He was 13th in the 100m with a time of 10.64 and did not progress from the preliminary round and his Pittsburgh 4x100m was 10th with 40.98. Over on the field, he placed 10th in the long jump with 7.47 mild wind (mw) of 2.3 and the triple jump, 14.80mw (2.7).

Iowa sophomore Ianna Roach was a ninth-place finisher in the women's shot put at the Musco Twilight XXI in Iowa City. Her best effort measured 14.70m.

Antonia Sealy, a freshman at Iowa Western, challenged Roach in the event but she was a 12th-place finisher with 11.83m. Sealy also competed in the long jump and was 10th with 5.40mW (5.0).

Grand Canyon senior Jeminise Parris placed seventh in the women's 100m hurdles at the Arizona State University (ASU) Twilight Collegiate in Tempe with a time of 14.56.

Life junior Iantha Wright was at the Georgia Tech Invitational and missed out on a medal in the 100m after she placed fourth with 11.60. She did, however, bag a bronze medal with her Life 4x400m relay team after they placed third with 3:44.68.
