We remember ...

Ali St. Louis

Ephraim Serrette :: President NAAATT :: 30.09.2011

The Athletic family in Trinidad and Tobago is deeply saddened by the loss of a stalwart in Mr. Ali St. Louis.

He was one of this country’s top quarter- milers during the 1980’s Palo Seco Sports Club, Defence Force and a member of this country’s national team at the 1984 Olympics, in Los Angeles Califonia.

Ali as he is fondly known served our sport as a coach, technical official, advisor, mentor, father, physiotherapist and the list can go on to many and only two years ago became a member of the national executive. He was a highly valuable and respected member of our team and the effects of his loss are already being felt by fellow executive members and the entire athletic community.

On behalf of the National Association of Athletics Administrations of Trinidad and Tobago, I wish to express our heartfelt sympathy.

His death is a tremendous blow to Trinidad and Tobago Athletics, having served this country with distinction both as an athlete, coach and as an administrator. He will be sadly missed. He was an old soldier in every sense of the word and old soldiers never die...

With affection and deep sympathy, we pray that God comfort his family both immediate, athletic and other mourners.
